Maya Mari a Sun Odyssey 37
We were approached by Maya Miri's owners in Preveza - they were
taking on water which was later found to be coming through the keel
bolts. The yacht was hauled out at Aktio marine where she was to
stay for the winter 04 for maintenance and repair.

The keel was re-fixed properly to the hull, the keel bolts removed and
checked. The engine had to be removed to access the keel bolts so
we cleaned the engine bay and the bilges at the same time. The
rudder bearing was badly worn so it was removed and replaced top
and bottom bearings along with the steering rose joint.

Then we started on the interior. As with many older yachts the
headlining in all 3 cabins was coming loose. We stripped the
forepeak, aft cabins and replaced all headlining. We also stripped
and varnished areas in the saloon, galley and companion way.

In the spring of 2005 we cleaned and polished the hull, repainted
the bootline and replaced the covelines. The teak decking in the
   cockpit was removed and replaced.

Finally we anti-fouled her and put her back in the water for 2005
season. On completion of the work Maya Mari's owner Jean-Luc
said that she is much younger now.
